This years’ bounce-back story, Amelia Lily from Middlesbrough, wowed the judges in the first ever Liverpool auditions in the shows eight-year running.
The 17-year-old student, performed her own rendition of Dusty Springfield’s hit, ‘Take another little piece of my heart’ which landed her a place in Kelly Rowland’s boot camp.
After being booted out of the competition by mentor Kelly in the first of the live shows, Amelia has come back fighting, earning her place as the bookies favourite to win the show. Her odds stand at 11/4, knocking Janet Devlin off the top spot.
Amelia, who has suffered with Type 1 diabetes since the age of three, was voted back in by the public, after party-mad Frankie Cocozza was axed earlier this month for drug abuse.
The Pink-haired rock chick said her musical inspiration is Pink, and by the looks of things, her style icon too!
Her show-stopping performance of Queen’s ‘The Show Must Go On’ saw her welcomed back into the competition with open arms after she gained a whopping 48% of the public vote, beating acts 2 shoes, James Michael and JonJo Kerr to a place back in the show.
Amelia was destined for showbiz after attending dance school and involving herself in musical theatre annually.
It was her west-end star brother, Lewis Bradley that persuaded her to take part in the competition. Lewis has been the under study for Joseph in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat, and has played a leading role in Wicked, after coming third in Any Dream Will Do in 2007.
Judge Louis Walsh is backing Amelia all the way after his final act, Kitty Bucknell was voted off last week, he told Caroline Flack on the Xtra Factor:
‘She’s so young, she’s so brilliant, she’s the one to beat now’
Celebrity fans include Susan Boyle, who showered Amelia with compliments at the Breaking Dawn premiere earlier this month.
We just hope Louis and Susan leave it to Kelly in the fashion department!
