Rabih Al Asmar, a Lebanese artist who came into life with a divine gift of a fabulous voice. Rabie was born in the village of “Harmel”, Lebanon.
He proved a passion not only for music, but also for sports and paintings. He decided in his teen days to focus on music and let go the other hobbies. He took his chance by participating in the contest of “Layali Lebnen” and also “Studio El Fan”, winning the first prize for the best artist in traditional Arabic songs.
Following this experience, Rabih migrated to Switzerland and opened his own business in which he performs every night for an upscale Arab community living over there. Although Rabih resides in Switzerland, he has never hesitated to travel to Lebanon yearly and record his new releases, which are of his own lyrics and composition.
Among his songs we mention “Noss Eleil”, “Alghorbah”, “Ya zaman”, “Awedouni Al sahar”, “Ajras El khatar”, “Akher kelma”, and “Zikrayat”. The song that launched his career into a stardom level and permitted him to sign a record deal with Rotana, was the hit single “Ghalak”. The new deal gave birth to the album “Khatwa gdida”. Rabih Al Asmar also has recent TV and cinematographic activities. He is one of the very special artists of the current scene.
